During his career of over 25 years, Prashant has contributed towards growth and transformation of several Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). He started his career working with MSMEs as branch manager of National Small Industries Corporation Limited (NSIC) and handled the NSIC’s business in multiple locations such as Rajkot, Nashik, Mumbai and Pune before joining CRISIL Limited. As Director – SME Ratings in CRISIL, he headed the pan-India business development for SME Ratings and ably led the team to record business numbers. During his stint in CRISIL, he gained tremendous respect for his achievements and team handling capabilities. Prashant also worked as Senior Vice-President, CARE Ratings Limited handling emerging corporates business development. An extremely focussed and dedicated individual, Prashant has in-depth understanding of various debt products, and is an expert at identifying pertinent solutions to meet every need. Prashant holds a degree in electronics engineering.
CA. Ravikiran Apte
Co-founder & Chief Operations Officer
Ravi has an experience of over 17 years in structured finance, bank loan rating, MSME rating and risk analysis, accounting, audit and direct tax. Ravi started his corporate career with a 10-year stint with CRISIL and later worked with CARE Ratings. Ravi was Vice-President of CARE Ratings when he decided to co-found Vivan Business Consultants. He has the unique experience of handling a variety of roles in the corporate set up, including credit risk analysis, business development, training , data management, process re-engineering, process management, strategic planning and back-end operation. Moreover, he has worked with clients across the spectrum, including large corporate, mid-corporate and MSME segments. Ravi also has parallel experience in the Rotaract movement where he has worked for various youth development and community service projects. He was the head of Rotaract in Mumbai and surrounding areas in 2008-09 leading more than 2000 youth members. He is a Chartered Accountant and holds a degree in commerce from University of Mumbai. He also has a certificate in creative marketing from IIM (Bangalore)
Vijay Jain
Co-founder & Director
A dynamic young entrepreneur, Vijay is the founder of Vivan Group, which has a diversified range of businesses. Vijay hails from a business family that has been in the jewellery business for 80 years. But with his keen desire to create a new line of business, at an early age of 21, he entered the business of supplying building material to some of the renowned builders & contractors in and around Mumbai, and later diversified into real estate management and financial consultancy. He also remains keenly involved with his family business of jewellery retail through their showroom, Vivan Ornaments, located at Chembur. He has been associated with the business of mortgages and distribution of various financial products for more than 8 years. He has the ability to quickly reach to the root of a problem and arrive at innovative solutions. With a keen knack of sensing opportunities, he has an in-depth understanding of the way businesses are run, managed, reported and represented. Vijay is a graduate from University of Mumbai and has completed his PGDM from Welingkar Institute of Management.
Raj Sekhar Tallapragada
Co-founder & Chief Analytical Officer
Raj has an experience of more than 25 years in credit ratings, risk solutions for various sectors including SMEs, business & equity research and business & project advisory services. He started his career as analyst with KenSource Information Services P Ltd (promoted by Debashis Basu, well known business journalist and author) contributing to equity and industry research to reputed business publications. He later joined Dun & Bradstreet India handling project reports, industry research and customized solutions to MNCs. Raj worked with CRISIL Limited during 2000-2019. At CRISIL, he initially handled credit ratings and later was involved with various sectoral risk assessment product launches for MFIs, real estate developers, educational institutions, NGOs, renewable energy projects and corporate supply chain assessments. At CRISIL he also headed a large analytical team that undertook SME Ratings and Assessments of close to 1 lakh MSMEs across the country. Raj has also undertaken assignments in South East Asia and the Caribbean. He has been a speaker/panelist at various industry events (RBI, CII, Assocham, etc) and has been on the jury of various leading business awards in India. Raj is a science graduate (Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry) and holds a MBA degree in Finance.
